Our colorful 2009 Opportunity Quilt was machine pieced and assembled by many members of our guild. The pattern is called "Patchwork Sampler" by Lori Smith
(www.frommyhearttoyourhands.com). The quilt was machine quilted by guild member, Barbara Heno. At a generous size of 64” x 77” it is perfect for any number of uses, such as on a bed or hanging from a wall.
The quilt was pieced using a variety of batik fabrics in bright fall colors. The center consists of 51 different traditional quilt blocks measuring 6”, 12” and 18” with a total of 1,827 pieces. The pieced border has 124 half-square triangles and the striped inner border really gives the quilt some movement.
The drawing for this quilt will be held at the Guild Meeting on February 17, 2009 at the VFW Hall in San Juan Bautista, CA. You need not be present to win. Proceeds from ticket sales support guild programs and community projects. Don't miss the fun!
